CVE-2024-0243
Crawler downloads external links despite prevention settings.

With the following crawler configuration: ```python from bs4 import BeautifulSoup as Soup url = "https://example.com" loader = RecursiveUrlLoader( url=url, max_depth=2, extractor=lambda x: Soup(x, "html.parser").text ) docs = loader.load() ``` An attacker in control of the contents of `https://example.com` could place a malicious HTML file in there with links like "https://example.completely.different/my_file.html" and the crawler would proceed to download that file as well even though `prevent_outside=True`. https://github.com/langchain-ai/langchain/blob/bf0b3cc0b5ade1fb95a5b1b6fa260e99064c2e22/libs/community/langchain_community/document_loaders/recursive_url_loader.py#L51-L51 Resolved in https://github.com/langchain-ai/langchain/pull/15559

CVE-2024-5278
Unrestricted file upload vulnerability allows arbitrary file types, risking RCE.

gaizhenbiao/chuanhuchatgpt is vulnerable to an unrestricted file upload vulnerability due to insufficient validation of uploaded file types in its `/upload` endpoint. Specifically, the `handle_file_upload` function does not sanitize or validate the file extension or content type of uploaded files, allowing attackers to upload files with arbitrary extensions, including HTML files containing XSS payloads and Python files. This vulnerability, present in the latest version as of 20240310, could lead to stored XSS attacks and potentially result in remote code execution (RCE) on the server hosting the application.

CVE-2024-42474
Path traversal vulnerability in Streamlit's static file sharing on Windows.

Streamlit is a data oriented application development framework for python. Snowflake Streamlit open source addressed a security vulnerability via the static file sharing feature. Users of hosted Streamlit app(s) on Windows were vulnerable to a path traversal vulnerability when the static file sharing feature is enabled. An attacker could utilize the vulnerability to leak the password hash of the Windows user running Streamlit. The vulnerability was patched on Jul 25, 2024, as part of Streamlit open source version 1.37.0. The vulnerability only affects Windows.

Remote Command program enables attackers to achieve Remote Code Execution.

Remote Command program allows an attacker to get Remote Code Execution by overwriting existing Python files containing executable code.ย This vulnerability can be executed in combination with other vulnerabilities and difficult to execute alone. So, the CVSS score for this vulnerability alone is lower than the score listed in the "Base Score" of this vulnerability. For detail on related other vulnerabilities, please ask to the below contact point. https://www.toshibatec.com/contacts/products/ As for the affected products/models/versions, see the reference URL.

CVE-2024-32005
Local file inclusion vulnerability in NiceGUI allows unauthorized file access.

NiceGUI is an easy-to-use, Python-based UI framework. A local file inclusion is present in the NiceUI leaflet component when requesting resource files under the `/_nicegui/{__version__}/resources/{key}/{path:path}` route. As a result any file on the backend filesystem which the web server has access to can be read by an attacker with access to the NiceUI leaflet website. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.4.21. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Gradio allows file reading by attackers via File/UploadButton components.

Gradio is an open-source Python package designed to enable quick builds of a demo or web application. If File or UploadButton components are used as a part of Gradio application to preview file content, an attacker with access to the application might abuse these components to read arbitrary files from the application server. This issue has been addressed in release version 5.5.0 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

CVE-2024-39903
Local File Inclusion vulnerability in Solara due to improper URI validation.

Solara is a pure Python, React-style framework for scaling Jupyter and web apps. A Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability was identified in widgetti/solara, in version <1.35.1, which was fixed in version 1.35.1. This vulnerability arises from the application's failure to properly validate URI fragments for directory traversal sequences such as '../' when serving static files. An attacker can exploit this flaw by manipulating the fragment part of the URI to read arbitrary files on the local file system.

CVE-2024-45851
Arbitrary code execution in MindsDB via crafted SharePoint queries.

An arbitrary code execution vulnerability exists in versions 23.10.5.0 up to 24.7.4.1 of the MindsDB platform, when the Microsoft SharePoint integration is installed on the server. For databases created with the SharePoint engine, an โ€˜INSERTโ€™ query can be used for list item creation. If such a query is specially crafted to contain Python code and is run against the database, the code will be passed to an eval function and executed on the server.
