Solution
Upgrade Google Cloud ADK to version 1.22.0 (or later), which patches the Path Traversal issue in the builder endpoint.
Vulnerable code sample
import os
from flask import Flask, request, send_file
app = Flask(__name__)
@app.route('/builder')
def builder():
# VULNERABLE: direct file path join allows path traversal
file_path = request.args.get('file_path', '')
full_path = os.path.join('/var/lib/agent/', file_path)
return send_file(full_path)Patched code sample
import os
from flask import Flask, request, send_file
from werkzeug.security import safe_join
app = Flask(__name__)
@app.route('/builder')
def builder():
# FIX: use safe_join to block path traversal
file_path = request.args.get('file_path', '')
full_path = safe_join('/var/lib/agent/', file_path)
return send_file(full_path)Payload
